"The Adventure"

This painting is my favourite one in "The Girl and the Unicorn" series so far. Oddly, sometimes certain paintings can take ages to capture the right atmosphere, but for others, like this one, every stroke and brush feels just right.

During our open studio day, a lady inquired about the price of this particular painting. Perhaps because I hold this piece in high regard, pricing had never crossed my mind. She mentioned that this one is her favourite.

"It's like an adventure, but also like coming home," she said.

"Coming home is an adventure," I replied.

We exchanged a knowing glance; no further words were needed.
